We’re proud of our history as internet nerds, each of us tinkering with the web since the early days of its existence. We have focused specifically on start-to-finish web projects over the past two years, but our skills extend beyond straightforward websites. We have built everything from nonprofit microsites to complete university overhauls to built-from-scratch web apps. And of course, we do “offline” work as well: print design, branding, and nonprofit consulting. We look forward to hearing from you.
Meet the team
Stacy Kim
Designer/Partner
Stacy specializes in making things useful and pretty. She believes that a little design can go a long way towards the success of a project, and is dedicated to providing socially responsible businesses and organizations with top-of-the-line, unique, affordable design. Stacy handles the design process at 3c32, translating concept into content in a way that makes your eyes happy.
In 2002, Stacy transferred to and graduated from the Maine College of Art, receiving a Bachelors of Art with honors, specializing in graphic design. Following graduation, Stacy worked as a creative director with John Rooks at Dwell Creative (now the SOAP Group), an environmental niche design agency. During her 5 years at Dwell, the company grew to 5 employees and increased its annual billing each year by 200%.
Stacy is a 6th year student and active board member at Riverview Foundation—a non-profit, non-competitive, nature-based martial art school. She enjoys teaching and has an admittedly unhealthy addiction to web-based organizing software.
Jen Micoleau
Creative Coordinator
Jen wears many hats, both inside and outside of the office. She is our go-to person (and yours) for all things non-design. She is also a yoga teacher, new mom, figurative sculptor, and professional organizer.
What Jen loves most is making connections in her community—learning as much as she can from others and life experiences—and combining that knowledge with a crazy hyper-focus on details to help people achieve their goals. She grew up in Portland and loves watching it grow and prosper as a result of a diverse, passionate population. She has chosen 3c32 as her vantage point to do so.
Jen holds degrees from American University (1995) and Maine College of Art (2010) with focuses in sculpture, graphic design and literature. Most recently, she has worked as a designer for Maine College of Art’s Advancement office, coordinated and managed the college’s annual art sale (2009), and interned locally at The SOAP Group and Curvwork. She currently serves on the board of AIGA Maine as Operations Director.
Don Havey
Designer/Partner
Don is a firm believer in the power of design as a problem solving tool. He is a fan of local solutions and thinks that designers need to learn to code or face extinction. Don manages project development at 3c32, finding new ways to translate ideas into functional, satisfying interfaces.
After graduating from Carnegie Mellon University with a Bachelor of Architecture and a Minor in Industrial Design, Don worked as a design associate and project manager at MESH Architectures, a small architecture company focused on the creation of hybrid digital-physical spaces. There he supervised and participated in the design and construction of a range of projects, from web prototypes to mobile recording studios to large-scale commercial development competitions.
Don is a self-taught programmer with over 10 years of professional web design and development experience. He is an ace at Processing and enjoys tinkering around at the intersection of art, design, and technology. You can take a look at his personal portfolio. Don was crunching data and making maps before the dataviz hipsters came along and made it cool.
Jessica Yazbek
Developer
Jessica brings ten years of web development experience to every project, which includes usability expertise, flawless semantic markup, efficient JavaScript/AJAX, and intelligent WordPress solutions or custom PHP/MySQL applications.
She’s always on top of the latest industry news and isn’t easily swayed by whatever the current “web trend du jour” might be, which means that she develops sites using knowledge of what’s most efficient and easily maintainable, and thinks outside the proverbial box on a daily basis.
With both a degree in Latin Literature and a love for all things digital (music, photography, and games especially), Jessica has an extremely diverse set of interests and more nerd cred than you can shake a stick at.
